Eric Tonge is one of Britain's leading orthodontists. He qualified in dentistry at University College Hospital London then studied orthodontics at The Eastman Dental Hospital.
In 1980 he joined one of Europe's busiest orthodontic practices based in Holland. Whilst still working there, in 1986 Dr. Tonge was invited to become a partner in a prestigious practice in the West End of London and returned to the Eastman to teach in the Orthodontic Department. He then established Bath Orthodontics some four years later, and relocated to larger premises in 1997. Dr. Tonge also co-founded and was a principal orthodontist of 'Elleven Orthodontics' an elite London, West End orthodontic practice. This practice won not only the best 'Practice of the year award' in 2006 but also the 'Best Specialist Referral Practice' in the same year. He has since sold his London based practice and is now based in Bath Orthodontics.
Dr. Tonge was elected to the committee of the British Association of Orthodontists and joined the Standards Committee of the British Orthodontic Society. He is also an International Member of the American Association of Orthodontists
